Story
Specter is the project layer behind the SpecterDIY workshop. It belongs to the family of tools that make self-custody less dependent on black boxes: show the components, expose the flow, and let users understand why a device is trusted instead of asking them to trust branding.
At Noderunners, SpecterDIY is a builder-focused hour in the Greenhouse. The point is not only to show a working signer, but to help runners reason about open hardware, QR-based signing, secure input and display, and where DIY devices fit inside a broader custody setup.
